Salk researchers and collaborators show how the protein damages cells, confirming COVID-19 as a primarily vascular disease

From Salk.Edu  https://www.salk.edu/news-release/the-novel-coronavirus-spike-protein-plays-additional-key-role-in-illness/ The novel coronavirus’ spike protein plays additional key role in illness Salk researchers and collaborators show how the protein damages cells, confirming COVID-19 as a primarily vascular disease LA JOLLA—Scientists have known for a while that SARS-CoV-2’s distinctive “spike” proteins help the virus infect its host by latching on to healthy cells. Now, a major new study shows that the virus spike proteins (which behave very differently than those safely encoded by vaccines) also play a key role in the disease itself. The paper, published on April 30, 2021, in Circulation Research, also shows conclusively that COVID-19 is a vascular disease, demonstrating exactly how the SARS-CoV-2 virus damages and attacks the vascular system on a cellular level. The findings help explain COVID-19’s wide variety of seemingly unconnected complications, and could open the door f...

Immunity acquired via infection is much broader than that triggered by current vaccines

Circulating SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine Antigen Detected in the Plasma of mRNA-1273 Vaccine Recipients

Abstract SARS-CoV-2 proteins were measured in longitudinal plasma samples collected from 13 participants who received two doses of mRNA-1273 vaccine. 11 of 13 participants showed detectable levels of SARS-CoV-2 protein as early as day one after first vaccine injection. Clearance of detectable SARS-CoV-2 protein correlated with production of IgG and IgA.  https://academic.oup.com/cid/advance-article/doi/10.1093/cid/ciab465/6279075?fbclid=IwAR22xjnzsC0ayKSA5Z63CReAXzK2Od0M8P0Rx-Yq6n3Pwteopl0amqU1G-o Q. Do Vaccines Disappear in Body after  2-3 Days?  A. This submitted and accepted paper shows at least 30 days Q. Is this a big study A. No Only 13 people.  Things to note:  S1 antigen was detected as early as day one post vaccination and peak levels were detected on average five days after the first injection.  For one individual (Participant #8), spike was detected at day 29, one day after the second injection and was undetec...
